The City of Mandurah gave me the honour and opportunity to exhibit the very first solo exhibition in the brand new Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah, CASM. The show was entitled HEAVY METAL. At that stage of my career, I had been creating artworks from a rusty, old washing machine I had stumbled upon in the bush. My dog and I dragged it back to my studio where I promptly chopped it up into manageable pieces with my grinder and attached the pieces into my artwork.

The smudged coloration of the rust on the white metal so intriqued me which launched a season of creating with found metal objects and rusty metal. For all images please see Metal Series under Paintings.
