After painting numerous murals in the private and corporate sector for many years, my dream to paint from a deeply emotive, personal place eventually became realised in the summer of 2000 when I enrolled at Edith Cowan University to study conceptual, abstracted art.

The exciting journey of self discovery began. I threw myself, wholeheartedly, into the experimental processes of surface technique, by utilising unusual materials, such as bitumen, industrial enamel, wood stain and shellac. My fascination of observing the unique interaction between the various materials with each other proved highly addictive! Expressive gesture, mark making, line, and colour play a significant part of my design process.

Once I discovered the importance of design in the composition, my work took on a different direction and have made vast improvements in my work. This is very obvious in my latest exhibition entitled AWAKENING, 22 August - 20 September 2020.
